Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 14, 2025 — Adapted for Apple App Store

This Privacy Policy explains how VibeClip ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information when you use our mobile application and related services (the "Services"). It applies to users who download VibeClip from the Apple App Store and use the iOS app. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use our Services.

I. Scope

This policy covers data collected inside the VibeClip iOS app. It does not apply to third-party websites or services you access via links from within the app; such services operate under their own privacy notices.

II. Information We Collect

1. Platform and Usage Data

We collect information about how you use the app—features you access, edits you make, content you view, downloads and sharing actions—to improve functionality and personalize your experience.

2. Device and Log Data

To provide reliable service and detect issues, we collect device and log data such as:

3. Advertising Identifiers & App Tracking Transparency (ATT)

On iOS, we may request permission to access the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) under Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. We will only access IDFA if you grant permission via the standard iOS prompt and will use it solely for advertising measurement and personalization as described in this Policy. If you decline, we will not track you across other apps and websites for advertising purposes.

4. Feedback and Support

If you contact support, we will collect the information you provide (such as email, screenshots, descriptions) to answer your request.

5. Face/Media Processing

For face-editing features we temporarily detect facial landmarks (eyes, nose, mouth) to process images locally or in secure cloud workflows. Images, facial keypoints and outputs are not stored longer than needed for processing and are not used for unrelated model training. If you upload images of others, you must obtain their consent.

6. Cloud Processing

Certain rendering/processing may occur on secure cloud servers. Files and metadata used for processing are deleted after completion and are not used for unrelated purposes.

III. Permissions (iOS)

VibeClip requests only the permissions needed to provide features. On iOS these commonly include:

Permission prompts are displayed by iOS; you may manage or revoke permissions in your device settings. Revoking a permission affects only the related features and does not delete data previously processed.

IV. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

V. Analytics, Advertising & Third-Party SDKs

We use aggregated analytics to improve the app. We may integrate third-party SDKs (for analytics, crash reporting, or ads). These SDKs may collect device identifiers and usage data as permitted by law. We will not enable cross-app tracking without your explicit ATT consent. A list of key categories of third-party services includes:

Note: If you obtain the app from the App Store, billing for subscriptions or in‑app purchases is handled by Apple. See the Refunds section below for details.

VI. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies in web-based components (e.g., help pages). These technologies help with authentication, preferences, analytics and ad measurement. You can control cookies via your browser settings; disabling them may reduce functionality.

VII. Data Retention

Personal data is retained for up to 48 months unless a longer period is required by law. Usage/analytics data may be retained for shorter periods for improvement and security purposes.

VIII. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share data with:

We require contractually that third parties provide adequate safeguards for the protection of personal data.

IX. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict processing, or port your personal data. To exercise these rights, please contact us (see Contact section). We may request identity verification before acting on requests.

X. Children’s Privacy

VibeClip is not intended for children under 13 (or higher minimum age required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

XI. Security

We employ technical, administrative and physical controls to protect data. These include encryption in transit (e.g., TLS), access controls and regular security reviews. No system is completely secure—if we become aware of a breach we will take steps required by law to notify affected users.

XII. International Transfers

Data may be processed or stored in countries outside your residence. We use appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses or equivalent) when transferring personal data across borders.

XIII. App Store Purchases & Refunds

Purchases made through the Apple App Store are billed by Apple. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple in accordance with its policies. For purchases made directly with VibeClip (outside the App Store), please contact us and we will process refunds per our Refund Policy.

XIV. Legal Basis for Processing

Where applicable (e.g., EU), we rely on the following legal bases: consent, performance of a contract, legitimate interests, compliance with legal obligations, or protection of vital interests.

XV. Complaints and Supervisory Authorities

If you believe your rights have been violated, you may file a complaint with your local data protection authority. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve your complaint.
